Brief

Staries is a casual game where one tries to get three our more stars of the same color to be adjacent by moving complete rows or columns of stars.

Gameplay

Like many casual games, Staries is an Unwinnable Game and makes use of Scores and High Score Lists to measure how well a game session went. Levels provide as intermediate Closure Points as well as reseting the game area and are completed simply by gaining points.

Time Pressure is created in the game by the simple mechanism of locking stars if players take too long time to make a move. These locked stars lessen the amount of possible movements (instantiating versions of Limited Set of Actions and Limited Movement) and the game is over when one no longer can create any groups of stars with the same color.
