These are games that are, willingly or not, created with very limited resources and thereby independent from the demands of stakeholders providing economical support. They may or may not overlap with [[:Category:Experimental Art Games|Experimental Art Games]]. Some Indie games go on to becoming commercially successful and improved with substantially higher budgets and are therefor questioned if they still are indie games.
