Named after the game Rogue, these are games which make use of procedural generation to provide content to players, often to the level that they use Procedurally Generated Game Worlds. Although the first Roguelikes also shared characteristics in being Turn-Based Games themed with looting dungeons, many games not having these characteristics are also referred to as Roguelikes. This category of games can be seen as a subcategory of Survival Games.
